George Michael Young is an Australian musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for being a founding member of the influential rock band The Easybeats, which he formed in 1964 with Harry Vanda. The band went on to achieve international success with hits such as "Friday on My Mind" and "She's So Fine."

Young also had a successful career as a producer, working with notable artists such as AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and John Paul Young. He is credited with helping to shape the sound of Australian rock music in the 1970s and 1980s.
